After letting a lot of plants, from different sizes and shapes, slowly die, we thought it was time for a change. We apparently aren’t green-fingered. So it was time to find out another way to bring the outside inside.

We found this beautiful and big rock on the banks of a river. The colour matches our interior perfectly and it has almost the size of a half dead plant. So it made us bring that heavy guy home with us. We placed it on our desk and it right away brought some peace and calm.

Hema card rack 1

You already know or not that we love to be surrounded by inspiration. You could already see it in the pin it and exposing posts. However, somewhere last week we saw this card rack at Hema. Without any doubt, we treated ourselves to a late Christmas present.

Over the years, we have kept all kinds of cards. For example, those from exhibitions or musea. So this is the perfect time to arrange them all and expose the nicest ones in this card rack. Of course, you can also just put pictures or other fun stuff in it. We are sure this rack will be on our wall for a long time.

items | Christmas wrapping

December 18, 2014

When we see the streets these days, we are overloaded by glitters and colors. All this drama that comes along with Christmas makes me question about what Christmas is really all about. We came to the conclusion that it doesn’t feel like a day everyone has to be blown up. For us it feels more pure. Coming together and being thankful for what you are able to do. So we decided to wrap a present the way we feel about Christmas.

Using wrapping paper with a brown colour made the present more peaceful. Finding this kind of paper isn’t even easy anymore these days, but we used the back of a paper with illustrations on. Further, instead of making a flamboyant bow, we decided to not make a bow at all. We used a natural sisal rope and knotted a Christmas tree branch in it. The combination of it all made is less kitch and more natural.

It’s no secret that we love to be surrounded by things that inspire us. You could already read in one of our previous post how we love to expose our clothes and magazines. But we also get a lot of inspiration by visiting musea. We mainly feel inspired by the white walls and the way the projects are shown. We feel like this atmosphere can easily be achieved in our white and bright studio.

The easiest way to do this is to use clamps. You just have to put a little nail in the wall and you’re ready. When you want to replace the clamp there are no visible holes left. Because they are so flexible, it’s easy to combine different pictures and make new composition. This makes our studio ‘always in a change’.

Comme Des Garçons

Waking up on a Sunday morning at 11 a.m. is the best feeling. No obligations and especially no alarm. The bedroom that is clear of sunlight gives us already an amount of energy.

When I just woke up this morning and saw Joeri still sleeping with his Comme Des Garçons T-shirt on. I had to photograph the peaceful feeling of this sunday morning.
